We are pleased to announce our stomp musicians

After being brushed by Cyclone Marcia, mopping up the leaks in the Cellar Door and emptying overflowing rain gauges, Flame Hill Vineyard has risen to the occasion once again, rescheduling the Annual Grape Stomp to this Saturday February 28.

Owner Tony Thompson has said “ we were totally sold out some 500 pre sold tickets – unfortunately a number of folk cannot make the revised date and we have one tonne (1000kg) of Merlot that we need stomped this Saturday.

The event has also become somewhat of a jazz festival with Robyn Brown and Sassy Jazz & Ewan McKenzie with his Gypsy Jazz band set to rage on the stage over the vines with the Coral Sea as a back drop.

Tony said “Each year we try to cover costs, but now in its 6th year the Grape Stomp is fast becoming iconic and an important event of the Hinterland and Sunshine Coast calendar benefiting all businesses – it will go ahead each year regardless of the elements and the cost”

Tickets are available for purchase 8:30am – 4pm Wednesday 25th February on 07 5478 5920, 10:30am – 5pm Thursday 26th & Friday 27th February 07 5478 5920.

Welcome to Flame Hill Vineyard & Restaurant | Montville, Sunshine Coast

The Welcome

Genuine hospitality is the ability to greet guests of diverse backgrounds with a welcome of kindness, service, food, wine and entertainment.

The Ethos
To ethically and sustainably produce paramount quality produce from our estate vineyards and farms, marketed through the Montville Cellar Door and served  with conscience. “At Flame Hill we know where our food and wine comes from”

The Tangible Link
The Flame Tree proliferates at Montville as does the Kurrajong tree at Lyra, they are both part of the Brachychiton group of trees. The same families of yellow tailed black cockatoos visit both our farms seasonally to feast on the seeds from the Brachychiton’s. At Flame Hill Montville the rosellas are white and at Kurrajong the Eastern Rosellas are red, - perhaps telling us the site best suited for white and red wine respectively.

The Vision
To create an iconically Australian rural tourism enterprise of international standard.
